Martin Necas

Martin Necas is a specialist sonographer and an associate clinical director of ultrasound at Waikato Hospital, in Hamilton, New Zealand. Martin is an ultrasound enthusiast, clinical instructor, university lecturer, researcher, and an author or co-author of 25 peer reviewed scientific papers and clinical guidelines as well as a, author of a textbook on artifacts in diagnostic ultrasound. Martin is a prolific conference speaker, having contributed over 250 presentations, workshops, and webinars. Martin’s main areas of interest include general, vascular, neonatal and contrast-enhanced ultrasound. Martin is a strong advocate for efficient, evidence-based and clinically targeted utilisation of ultrasound imaging.
